Plants Based Power
Have you ever started something and completely forgot why you are doing it. Until someone reminds you and it really hits home. I watched a two part video of Dr. Milton Mills explaining why we were designed to be herbivores, and also explain why he himself started to help people with their health issues. We all have that loved one that is suffering from a chronic illness or disease and refuses to change or listen to you because all they know is the Western Americanized Standard medicine.
I started this Blog as a way to help people understand the importance of a healthy life style. Though I started by transitioning to a Plant Based Lifestyle to actually becoming Plant Based and not even craving the meat and dairy, but eating whole plant Based foods, like fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds. I want to be around to watch my kids grow up and make decisions on their own. So I can honestly say this life style change is more than worth it. It is necessary.
Thats all for now...

There have been many studies shown that say an increased consumption of animal protein can cause health issues. The western diet today is built on animal protein. You see signs like, Eat more chicken and Beef it’s what’s for dinner. You rarely see anything pertaining to vegetables or greens. Vegetables, You know those seeds we plant and water and food, yes real food comes up during its season. Although there are so many “Heath” packaged foods now also. Like vegan sausage and tofu burgers, which are fine in moderation. But by eating Living food, that came from the earth after planting a seed. You even go out and harvest this food, or at least go to the store to get it.
My point is nothing can replace the Living food.
fruits and vegetables
grains, nuts and seeds
All of these are foods that produce and when sown, reproduce after its kind. That’s just amazing, isn’t it.

Wow 2018, hard to believe that 2017 went by so fast. So being the first day of the New Year What are you excited about most for this year? Any changes you want to make? Goals you want to pursue?
We want to hear from you...
There a direct connection to food and mental health. So we are aware that eating things like, walnuts, almonds, bananas, oats, and lots of leafy greens, increases our Serotonin.
Serotonin is thought to be especially active in constricting smooth muscles, transmitting impulses between nerve cells, regulating cyclic body processes and contributing to wellbeing and happiness.
Coming from a perspective, like most that have mental illness in my family. I can say this is indeed a topic that needs to be talked about.
Here are a list a things that decrease Serotonin.
Cooking with Excessive amounts of Iron
Cooking with Excessive amounts of copper
Cooking with Aluminum
Eating a Whole Food Plant Based Lifestyle is not only good for you physically, but it’s also good for you mentally as well.
Of course there are also situations, where predisposition comes into play. Where it’s been said since my parents had it then I am more likely to get it. But that’s a different topic all together.
I just want to get some input from others. What do you think about this topic?
One of the things we fail to realize is along with proper diet and exercise. Rest is an important factor. Eating healthy Plant Based nutrition is a wonderful thing, but you are doing it in vein if you don’t get the proper rest. Taking the time to relax and enjoy life is also essential to your success.
So be sure to get the rest you need to recharge your battery.

😀Coming from a Plant Based Perspective. Change is one of the best things we have in life. It gives us the ability to try new things, be adventurous, and seek out things that interest us. The challenge is to actually take action once you decide to make a change. With this new year approaching, most will be embarking on New Years Resolutions. Whether it be losing weight, and getting in shape or getting a better education. You made a decision to change.
No no one plans on giving up after their first week or two into the new year, but it does happen. This year make it a point to stick to your guns, and do all that you said you are going to do. My family and I. made a decision to eat Plant Based for health benefits and we are enjoying the “fruits” of our labor. So whatever it is you are doing this coming year do it with persistence and don’t give up.
Until Next Time

Once the building blocks are in place for this change of lifestyle. We have to now open up our eyes to the many options of Plant Based options.
My new favorite fruit is a persimmon. When they are not ripe they leave a filmy taste in your mouth and causes your mouth to go almost numb. When ripe you still get the same affect but definitely not as much. They are sweet and very tasty. Don’t be afraid to get creative with it. There are tons of options to choose from....
What would it look like if all restaurants got rid of drive through? Let’s check and see.
People actually have to at least get out of their cars to go get the food.
You May see a drop in the amount of people going to a restaurant every day on their way to work.
Some will be forced to make their own breakfast or lunch.
You May see longer lines, if people continue to buy breakfast on their way to work.
You May see an increase in boxed processed food purposes.
Those who still try to go will be late for work every time they do go to a restaurant before work.
Everyone is such in s rush in this country. We’ve got the latest modernized way for us to become more and more lazy. From a vacuum that vacuums the floor for you by the push of a button to the next gadget that does the work for us. As you can see above I think the Pros our weigh the Cons.
What do you think? I want to hear from you on this....
This weeks vegetable of week is the Sweet Potato. As we all know there are many many things we can do with a sweet potato. From the standard old baked sweet potato to the sweet potato casserole that grandma used to make.
My favorite recipe though hands down is my wife’s candied sweet potato...
3-4 sweet potatoes chopped
baked (no oil).
sweetened with cinnamon, maple syrup, a few punches of coconut sugar, and roasted plantains to finish it off....Yummy.
Enough about my recipe. What can you make with a sweet potato? Leave some ideas or comments on my blog page.
